In Cameroon, about 17 million young people lack access to quality and affordable internet services. The vast majority are in remote regions due to limited infrastructure. We understand the crucial role that education plays in transforming lives, and we are determined to equip students with the tools they need to succeed.
Recognising the immense potential of online resources, we developed a unique approach to address this issue: offline digital libraries. Leveraging offline technologies and sustainable energy sources, our solution brings the benefits of the internet to individuals who would otherwise be deprived of its advantages.
These digital libraries are deployed in secondary school and community hubs acting as virtual gateways to a wealth of educational materials. Students access these contents from computers within the library, or mobile devices gaining a comprehensive learning experience that mirrors being connected to the internet.
